First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether applying two FDA-approved creams (diclofenac and DFMO) to the skin could prevent new non-melanoma skin cancers in 64 people who had already been treated for skin cancer. Participants used the creams or a placebo for a period and were monitored for new skin growths. The goal was to see if the combination could reduce the number of new cancers compared to placebo.
