Scientists probe hidden link between sinus troubles and cystic fibrosis protein
NCT ID NCT02038166
Summary
This study aims to understand if a problem with a specific protein (CFTR), which is central to cystic fibrosis, also plays a role in chronic sinusitis. Researchers will measure this protein's function in the noses of 20 participants, comparing those with chronic sinusitis to healthy individuals. The goal is to gather knowledge about the disease's cause, not to test a new treatment.
