Scientists probe hidden cause of stubborn sinus problems
NCT ID NCT02038166
Summary
This study aims to understand if a partial deficiency in a protein called CFTR contributes to chronic sinusitis. Researchers will measure electrical signals in the noses of 20 participants (both healthy individuals and those with sinusitis) to assess how well this protein is working. The goal is to gather knowledge about the disease's underlying mechanisms, not to test a treatment.
