First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a material made from a patient's own blood (albumin platelet-rich fibrin) to help build up bone in the upper jaw sinus area. Thirty-two people who needed dental implants but had too little bone received this treatment along with implant placement. The researchers checked how stable the implants were and how much new bone grew over two years.
