Summary
This study tests whether taking a single dose of antibiotic just before certain skin surgeries can lower the chance of infection afterward. About 574 adults having surgery on the nose, ear, or lower leg will be randomly given either the antibiotic or a placebo pill. Researchers will track infections for 30 days to see if the antibiotic helps.
