New gel could stop tooth decay in kids without drilling

Summary
This study tests whether a gel made with silver diamine fluoride can stop cavities in preschool children as well as the liquid version. About 630 healthy kids with at least one cavity will get the gel or solution every six months for 30 months. Researchers will check if the cavities harden and stop growing.
