First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a new silver-coated hip replacement device can lower the chance of infection in people at high risk, such as those with diabetes or weak immune systems. About 70 participants will receive the implant and be monitored for infections and silver levels in their blood and urine. The goal is to see if the coating safely reduces early and late infections after surgery.
