Viagra repurposed to fight scleroderma lung damage
NCT ID NCT04797286
Summary
This study is testing whether sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) can help people with scleroderma who have mildly elevated blood pressure in their lungs. Researchers will give 30 participants either sildenafil or a placebo pill for 4-12 months to see if it improves how far they can walk and their heart function. The goal is to find a treatment that can control this early lung complication before it worsens.
