First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study followed 58 children with sickle cell disease from infancy to look for clues that might predict a life-threatening complication called acute splenic sequestration. The goal was to better understand which children are at highest risk so doctors can monitor them more closely.
