Can a simple joint adjustment ease a painful muscle spasm?
NCT ID NCT07264530
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a stiff sacroiliac (SI) joint in the lower back/hip area causes tightness in the nearby piriformis muscle in the buttock. Researchers worked with 40 adults who had this type of muscle pain and joint stiffness. They tested if a specific hands-on joint mobilization technique could reduce the muscle's tension and pain levels.
