New stroke drug enters final testing phase

Summary

This study tests a new medicine called SHPL-49 given through a vein to people who have had a stroke caused by a blood clot. The goal is to see if it helps them recover better and have less disability. About 1,096 adults aged 18 to 80 who are already getting standard clot-busting treatment will take part. The study compares the new drug to a placebo to check its safety and effectiveness.
