New nerve block could mean less pain, fewer side effects after shoulder surgery

NCT ID NCT07445126

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to manage pain after shoulder surgery. Researchers will compare two common nerve-blocking techniques given before surgery to see which one provides better pain relief and reduces the need for strong painkillers in the first day after the operation. The study will also check which method has fewer side effects, like breathing difficulties.
