NCT ID NCT04209504

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study watches 60 adults having shoulder surgery to see how often a common nerve block temporarily paralyzes part of the diaphragm, a muscle that helps you breathe. Participants get one of three types of nerve blocks, and doctors use ultrasound to check for diaphragm movement after surgery. The goal is to learn which block method is safest.
