Shockwaves may ease stroke arm stiffness
NCT ID NCT07520032
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive treatment called extracorporeal shockwave therapy can improve arm function and reduce muscle tightness in people who had a stroke six months ago. Fifty adults aged 25 to 65 will receive either the shockwave treatment or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach offers a safe, drug-free way to help stroke survivors move their arms better.
