Shockwaves vs. sham: can sound waves restore sexual function?

NCT ID NCT05868668

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether focused or radial shockwave therapy can improve erectile dysfunction and chronic pelvic pain better than a fake (sham) treatment. About 186 men with mild to moderate ED or pelvic pain, including those with a history of prostate cancer, will receive multiple sessions. The goal is to see if these non-invasive sound waves provide real relief without drugs or surgery.
