Summary

This study tested a non-invasive treatment called shock wave therapy to reduce arm and hand stiffness in 21 people who had a stroke. The therapy uses sound waves applied to tight muscles, given twice a week for 4 weeks. Researchers measured changes in stiffness, movement, pain, and daily function at 1 and 3 months after treatment.
