Summary

This study tested a non-invasive treatment called radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy (rESWT) to reduce arm and hand stiffness in 21 people who had a stroke. Participants received 8 sessions over 4 weeks, with sound waves applied to key arm muscles. The goal was to see if this treatment could improve muscle tightness, movement, pain, and daily function.
