First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a treatment called radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy (a type of sound wave therapy) to a standard exercise program helps people with knee osteoarthritis feel less pain and walk better. 72 adults aged 50-85 with knee osteoarthritis took part. The results will show if this combination approach is more effective than exercise alone.
