NCT ID NCT07245394
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This Canadian study is testing whether switching to the drug guselkumab (Tremfya) can help people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who didn't get enough relief from ustekinumab. Researchers will track symptoms and test results for 200 participants over one year. The goal is to see if the switch leads to deep remission, meaning no worsening of symptoms and healed gut lining.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Guselkumab (Tremfya)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that switching to guselkumab is a good option for people with IBD who didn't get enough relief from ustekinumab.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so results may be less definitive. It's also relatively small (200 people) and only follows participants for one year.
Conditions
The condition(s) this trial relates to.
As listed by the trial registrant
The condition terms exactly as the trial's registrant entered them.
