Summary

This pilot study tested a program called Shed-MEDS in 18 assisted living residents with dementia. The goal was to safely reduce or stop unnecessary or harmful medications based on medical guidelines and personal preferences. Researchers tracked how many medications were reduced over 90 days and whether quality of life improved.
