First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether simple, low-cost changes like adding shade, painting roofs, and improving airflow can reduce heat-related health problems and improve quality of life in rural Pakistan. About 7,128 people from villages in Matiari will take part. Some families will receive home cooling improvements and practical advice, while others will not, so researchers can compare the effects.
