First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at how a class of diabetes drugs called SGLT2 inhibitors affect kidney function in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Researchers compared 60 patients with and without diabetes to see if the drugs changed their estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), a key measure of kidney health. The goal was to understand if these drugs work differently depending on whether the patient has diabetes.
