First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether empagliflozin, a drug used for diabetes, can reduce age-related stiffening of arteries in healthy older adults. Researchers will give 80 men and women aged 60-80 either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug improves artery flexibility, which may lower heart risks.
