Blood tests may reveal if unusual MS is a different disease

NCT ID NCT04201470

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looked at 58 people to see if those with an unusual form of multiple sclerosis (MS) have different levels of nerve damage markers in their blood compared to people with classic MS and healthy controls. The goal was to better understand if these atypical cases are a separate disease. No treatment was given; the study only collected blood samples and MRI scans for comparison.
