Blood filter tested in race against time for deadly septic shock

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special blood filter device (called the PMX cartridge) to standard intensive care helps patients with severe septic shock. The filter aims to remove harmful toxins from the blood. Researchers will compare survival rates at 28 days between patients who receive the filter plus standard care and those who receive standard care alone.
