New blood marker may predict septic shock outcomes
NCT ID NCT07096284
First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a new blood gas measurement (PvCO2-PaCO2/CaO2-CvO2 ratio) can help predict survival in people with septic shock. Researchers will compare this ratio to the standard lactate test in 30 adults. The goal is to find a more accurate way to assess patient risk early in treatment.
