Blood gas ratio may predict septic shock outcomes
NCT ID NCT07096284
First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special blood gas measurement (PvCO2-PaCO2/CaO2-CvO2) can help predict which patients with septic shock are more likely to survive. Researchers will measure this ratio in 30 adults during the early phase of septic shock and compare it to standard lactate levels. The goal is to find a better way to assess patient risk and guide treatment.
