First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether certain white blood cells or platelet counts can predict early worsening in sepsis patients. Researchers followed 161 adults in the ICU, checking their blood and health for five days. The goal was to see which test better spots patients at risk of getting sicker or dying. This was an observational study, not a treatment.
