New blood markers could help detect sepsis faster in ICU
NCT ID NCT07537179
First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at 120 ICU patients to see if certain blood test results (monocyte distribution, monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio) could help doctors diagnose sepsis earlier. Researchers compared these new markers with standard tests. The goal was to find better ways to detect sepsis, a life-threatening infection, in critically ill patients.
