ICU doctors test better antibiotic timing to fight deadly sepsis

NCT ID NCT07398703

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a common antibiotic (beta-lactam) through a longer, continuous drip works better than giving it in shorter, separate doses for adults with severe infections (sepsis or septic shock) in the intensive care unit. Researchers will follow 50 patients to see which method helps more people survive and recover fully. The goal is to find the most effective way to use these antibiotics in critically ill patients.
