New stomach cancer surgery aims to spare healthy tissue
NCT ID NCT06788548
Summary
This study is testing a more precise surgery for early stomach cancer. Doctors use a fluorescent dye during surgery to find and remove only the lymph nodes most likely to contain cancer cells, instead of removing many nodes by default. The goal is to preserve more of the healthy stomach, reduce side effects, and improve patients' long-term quality of life while still effectively treating the cancer.
