NCT ID NCT07272343

Summary

This study is comparing two approaches for people newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes who also have excess liver fat. For 12 weeks, one group will receive weekly injections of the medication semaglutide, while the other will follow a strict calorie-restricted diet. Researchers want to see which method is better at controlling blood sugar, promoting weight loss, and reducing liver fat.
