Summary
This study is comparing two approaches for people newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes who also have excess liver fat. For 12 weeks, one group will receive weekly injections of the medication semaglutide, while the other will follow a strict, reduced-calorie diet. Researchers want to see which method works better for controlling blood sugar, promoting weight loss, and reducing liver fat.
