Mirror test seeks clues to psychosis risk in young minds

NCT ID NCT04945278

Summary

This study aims to understand if young people (ages 15-25) who are at high risk for developing psychosis see themselves differently than others. Researchers are using a special double-sided mirror device that slowly blends a person's face with a stranger's face. By comparing how 34 participants at risk and healthy volunteers judge these blended images, the study hopes to find a link between self-perception and early signs of mental health vulnerability.
