Self-Compassion training cuts problematic gaming in young adults

Summary
This study tested whether a 14-day online self-compassion program could help young adults reduce problematic gaming. 308 regular online gamers took part. The program helped participants feel less anxious and more in control, which led to less problematic gaming. Results suggest that learning self-compassion may be a useful tool for managing gaming habits.
