Ancient practices tested to ease breast cancer Survivors' daily struggles

NCT ID NCT06497582

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested two simple, drug-free techniques—self-acupressure (pressing specific points on the body) and Zhan Zhuang (a gentle standing meditation)—to see if they can reduce pain, fatigue, and sleep problems in breast cancer survivors. About 50 women who had completed treatment for early-stage breast cancer and still had moderate symptoms took part. They were split into three groups: one learned self-acupressure, one learned Zhan Zhuang, and a waitlist group received no training until after the study. The goal was to see if these practices improve daily life and well-being.
