Can pressing points ease period pain? new trial investigates
NCT ID NCT07409337
Summary
This study is testing whether teaching women to apply pressure to specific points on their own bodies can reduce menstrual pain and premenstrual symptoms. 120 university students aged 18-30 with significant period pain will either learn real acupressure techniques or sham techniques over six months. Researchers will compare changes in pain levels, medication use, and missed school days between the two groups.
