First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether teaching people with high blood pressure to press on specific points on their body (self-acupressure) can help lower their blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve well-being. About 72 adults with stage 1 or 2 hypertension will be split into three groups: real acupressure, fake acupressure, or usual care. The study lasts 2 weeks and is led by nurses.
