First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 50 children (ages 1 month to 18 years) who needed a breathing machine for more than 72 hours. Researchers wanted to see if adding inhaled sedatives could reduce the amount of other sedative and pain drugs needed. The goal is to find safer ways to keep children comfortable while on life support.
