Summary

This study tests a second stem cell transplant for people with sickle cell disease or beta-thalassemia whose first transplant didn't fully work. Participants receive a second infusion of donor stem cells to increase the number of healthy donor cells in their bone marrow. The goal is to control the disease and prevent it from coming back. The study includes 32 people aged 4 and older and their donors.
