First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether a 12-week school program combining cooperative games and ball sports could improve mental health and physical fitness in 40 rural left-behind children (ages 12-13). The program was delivered during regular PE classes, three times a week. Researchers measured mental health and fitness before and after the program to see if this approach could help support these vulnerable children.
