First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week physical education program combining cooperative games and ball sports could improve mental health and physical fitness in 40 rural left-behind children (ages 12-13). The program was held during regular PE classes, three times a week. Researchers measured mental health and fitness before and after the program to see if this simple change could help these vulnerable kids.
