Can extra help close the gap in teen weight management?
NCT ID NCT01688453
Summary
This study tested whether providing extra support to teens from less-advantaged backgrounds could help them manage their weight as effectively as teens from more-advantaged backgrounds. It involved over 1,200 overweight or obese high school students in France. All participants received a standard school-based health program, but some less-advantaged teens also got additional support like motivational interviews, cooking classes, and activity funding.
