First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests a 12-week active play program in Bangladeshi primary schools to see if it helps children increase physical activity, reduce sitting time, improve sleep, and build movement skills like running and jumping. About 343 healthy children aged 6-12 from 8 schools will take part, with half receiving the program and half continuing as usual. The program includes free and guided play sessions twice a week, plus tips for parents and teachers to support healthy habits at home and school.
