First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested how much discomfort people feel when transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is applied to different areas of the scalp and with different settings. Twenty healthy adults rated their pain using a questionnaire. The goal was to find which spots and settings are most tolerable, and to see if the knee can be used as a practice spot for testing new TMS methods safely.
