New radiation technique aims to fight brain cancer while protecting the scalp
NCT ID NCT03251027
Summary
This study is testing a specialized, targeted form of radiation therapy for people with newly diagnosed brain tumors (gliomas). The goal is to see if this precise method can effectively treat the tumor while causing fewer side effects to the scalp, such as infections, poor wound healing, and hair loss. Researchers will measure these side effects and how they impact patients' quality of life.
