Scientists probe hidden link between salt, blood pressure, and your immune system
NCT ID NCT03753204
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people's blood pressure is very sensitive to salt. Researchers will test 20 people with high blood pressure by carefully controlling their salt intake in a hospital and measuring their blood pressure response. The main goal is to see if a simple blood test looking at immune cells can predict who is salt-sensitive, which could lead to easier diagnosis in the future.
