New cholesterol drug shows promise in major trial

Summary
This study tested a new injectable drug called SAL003 for people with high cholesterol. Over 600 participants received either the drug or a placebo shot every four weeks for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if SAL003 was better than a placebo at lowering 'bad' LDL cholesterol. After the initial 12 weeks, all participants could receive the active drug for an additional 40 weeks.
