NCT ID NCT06962319
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests newer antimalarial drugs to see if they work as well as the current standard treatment for uncomplicated malaria in early pregnancy. It includes 1,510 pregnant women in Africa who will receive either the standard drug or a newer one, with close monitoring of mother and baby for up to 6 months after birth. The goal is to provide safer, more effective options that may also prevent new infections longer and require fewer daily doses.
