First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested the safety of aflibercept, an already-approved eye injection, in 100 Indian adults with diabetic macular edema (DME) — a condition where diabetes damages the retina and blurs vision. Participants received injections into the eye every 4 weeks for 5 months, then every 8 weeks for a total of 48 weeks. The main goal was to track any side effects, with vision and retinal thickness also measured.
